Delete your Finsa account
You can delete your Finsa account, and the personal data held with it, at any time. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need the app installed to use the second one.
From inside the app
Open Finsa, go to Profile, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately. If you are holding digital gold, you will be asked to sell it first, so that gold you own is not left without an owner.
By email, including after uninstalling
Write to grievance@finsamudra.com from the email address you used with Finsa, and ask us to delete your account. Sending it from the same address is how we confirm the request is yours. If you cannot, write from any address and tell us the mobile number on the account, and we will verify you another way before we delete anything.
We will acknowledge your request and complete it within 30 days, usually sooner, and confirm when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, mobile number, PAN, date of birth and address.
- Your credit report from Equifax, and the analysis we derived from it.
- Any documents you uploaded.
- Your sign-in, so the account can no longer be used.
What is kept, and why
Indian financial record-keeping rules mean a few things cannot simply be erased. These are separated from your identity when your account goes:
- Records of digital gold purchases and sales, because they are financial transactions.
- A record that consent was given before a credit report was requested. It carries no name, contact detail or financial data.
- If you asked us to look into a loan option, the enquiry you submitted is kept by our loan desk so it can be closed properly with the lending partner. Ask the Grievance Officer if you want that erased too.
