The board of Satin Creditcare Network has approved a ₹100.1 crore equity infusion by its promoter entity, Trishashna Holdings & Investments.

The capital comes through the allotment of 38.5 lakh fully convertible warrants at ₹260 each, which will raise the promoter's shareholding from 36.17% to 38.32% on conversion. Per SEBI norms, 25% of the total consideration — roughly ₹25 crore — has been received upfront.

The company has framed the infusion as strengthening its Tier-1 capital base, which lowers its borrowing costs from commercial banks and supports its stated goal of reaching ₹32,000 crore in assets under management by 2030.

Why it matters

Microfinance lenders carry higher regulatory risk weights and more volatile credit costs, so promoter capital does double duty — it shores up the balance sheet and signals conviction to the banks and public markets that fund the sector. When promoters increase skin in the game during a shift in the cycle, it reads as a statement about balance-sheet strength, not just liquidity.
