Shivalik Small Finance Bank is in final stages of acquiring ManiBhavnam Home Finance, a Delhi-based housing finance player, in a deal valued at ₹109 crore. The acquisition has cleared RBI approval and awaits clearance from the Registrar of Companies.

The deal structure combines share swaps and cash payment. ManiBhavnam operates a loan book of around ₹300 crore, which will integrate into Shivalik's existing portfolio of ₹3,659 crore as of December 2025.

Shivalik's stated rationale centres on three vectors: strengthening its presence in affordable housing finance, expanding its secured lending footprint, and gaining deeper geographic reach across North India. For a small finance bank, the acquisition signals a shift toward stability-focused lending over unsecured micro-credit.

Why it matters

For DSAs and loan distribution partners, this acquisition expands the lender base for affordable housing products in North India. Shivalik's commitment to secured lending means more appetite for mortgage-backed loans and property-backed collateral—categories with lower default rates and longer tenor cycles that suit both DSAs seeking sticky partnerships and borrowers seeking lower EMI burdens.

The consolidation also reflects broader SFB strategy: smaller lenders are building scale through inorganic growth to compete with established banks and NBFCs. For connectors, this means working with an institution that now holds ₹3,959 crore in combined assets, improving stability and product consistency across a wider borrower base.
